Changes With The RHI Sports Program December 1st, 2014

Dear RHI Sports Supporters,

As some of you already know I will be leaving my position as RHI Sports Director at the end of this year. I have had another business opportunity come up here locally that I ultimately decided to pursue. I will still be very heavily involved in the program and will continue to coach our varsity wheelchair basketball team, as well as joining the RHI Sports Board of Directors as the VP of Sponsorships & Grants. I still have a very strong vision to what this program can become and what we can achieve in the future, and I plan on helping achieve those goals for many years to come.

I have had the pleasure to meet a lot of you over the years, but for those that I have not been able to meet yet, I definitely encourage you to get involved with this great program.  I started with RHI Sports back in 2008 fresh out of college and this program has not only helped me grow professionally, but personally as well.  I continue to be inspired everyday by our athletes through their motivation and drive to overcome their disability to do something you love, and I love as well, play sports.  So thank you again for your support over these past 6 years and as I said, I will be around and still heavily involved.

Addy King has already joined us full-time as the RHI Sports Program Coordinator and will start to take over the everyday tasks from me. Addy has been with RHI Sports for over two years as an AmeriCorps member and has been working part-time since September.  I have full confidence that she will do a great job picking up where I left off and we will have a very smooth transition. Addy too shares the same passion as I do for this program and I know that will drive her to do a great job. Her contact info is the same as listed above in the side column.

Once again, thank you for your support and I wish you all the best in the future and I hope I see all of you at an RHI Sports event soon.

Take Care,

Jake Patrick
