Doug Roof, Remembered Well by Friends and Teammates March 3rd, 2011

Douglas L. Roof, 31, a member of the RHI Brawlers, died unexpectedly Thursday March 3, 2011 at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.   He was the son of the late Larry Douglas Roof and Sandra (Moore) Roof-Vance, his mother and step-father Robert Vance survive and reside in Alexandria, Indiana.


He was born April 17, 1979 at Anderson, Indiana, he was a 1997 graduate of Anderson Highland High School, and received his Associates Degree in Business from Ball State University, Muncie Indiana.He was an Assistant Manager for WalMart Marion, Indiana store.  He was a member of the Fairmount Lions Club of where he had been Lion of the Year.  He enjoyed working with computers, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golf and riding motorcycles.   After his accident in May 2009 he became a member of the RHI “Brawlers” wheelchair rugby team traveling and playing rugby around the mid-west. Doug will be missed by his teammates and all those who knew him.
