Daniel B. Woloszyn, Psy.D February 13th, 2012

Daniel Woloszyn joined RHI in February of 2012.  Dr. Woloszyn comes to RHI from Van Matre HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Rockford, Illinois, where he served as chief executive officer since 2003. He has been active in Washington D.C. advocating for post acute rehabilitation services legislation, and providing consultative work around rehabilitation medicine in hospital systems across the United States.

From 1992 to 2002, Dr. Woloszyn served as the clinical chief and manager of Rehabilitation Psychology and Neuropsychology at Rockford Memorial Hospital’s Van Matre Rehabilitation Center. During this time, he also worked as director of therapy operations and neuropsychological consultant in Forensic Psychiatry in Chicago. Relevant to RHI, he has 20 years of extensive clinical background as a clinical neuropsychologist with a focus on brain injury and other neurologic conditions. He also has conducted research in the areas of stroke and has been a frequent speaker on the areas of brain injury and hospital operations and leadership.

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Pre-Medicine from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and a Doctorial degree in Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. He completed a clinical psychology internship and neuropsychology residency at West Side V.A. Medical Center in Chicago, and was a postdoctoral neuropsychology fellow at the Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital & Clinics in Wheaton, Illinois.
