Mary Myers serves as the CNO for St. Vincent Indianapolis and throughout her career, Mary has demonstrated excellence in nursing leadership and innovation, and is also committed to the highest levels of quality and patient safety. She understands the St. Vincent Mission, and is dedicated to leading nursing practice that considers the whole patient – mind, body and spirit.
Mary joined St. Vincent in 2014 from IU Health West Hospital, where she was Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer. Mary brings an extensive background in nursing practice and leadership. She has a history of implementing a strong nursing shared governance structure and led IU Health West on a successful journey toward ANCC Magnet Recognition. Prior to her role at IU Health West, she served in a system role at then-Clarian Health, where she was responsible for implementation and operations of the organization’s ePartners program – a telemedicine remote monitoring program – while also serving as an administrative director of Inpatient Medicine at Methodist Hospital.
Mary earned her master’s degree in nursing Administration from the University of Indianapolis and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University. She is a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice from the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and has completed
Lean Six-Sigma training in healthcare. In addition, she has completed the Academy Fellowship Program from The Advisory Board and is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse.
