The RHI Sudden Impact competed in Greenwood, IN on January 11th at the 2014 Circle City Classic! The team went 1-1-2. They beat Turnstone Furious Flyers 6-2, then lost against to ranked Circle City. Then they tied DASA and Turnstone Flyers 2-2. Zach Dickey had 6 assists for the tournament and JC Russo had 5 goals with three of them as hat tricks in the Furious Flyers game!
The Sudden Impact then travelled to Arizona to play in the Powerblast Tournament at the very end of February. They travelled down there with three players (one less than a full team), making for an interesting weekend. On Firday they had one loss to ASU and one win to SoCal Vaquero. Then Saturday they had a two wins against Socal and Desert Outlaws, with one loss to ASU. Sunday they played in the Allstar game against ASU with one player from SoCal. They lost 5-1 coming in 2nd Place.
The RHI Indy Cruisers also competed at the Circle City Classic and went 3-0-1. The first game they played good defense ending it in a tie 0-0 with GLASA. The next game the Cruisers got into their grove winning 3-0 against DASA. The 3rd game they won again 5- 0 against Ft. Wayne. Finally bringing in the 3rd win of the day, the Cruisers beat Ball State 3-0. Kyle Albertson had 6 goals for the day, Lexi Heer had 2 goals and 3 assists in game 3, and Michael Rodriguez contributed with one goal in that game.
The Cruisers and the RHI Inferno then travelled to St. Louis in February for the DASA Tournament. The Cruisers won the first game 2-0, then lost the next 3 but were competitive in all the games. The Teams were in a higher conference but Cruisers made them work hard for the win. The Inferno also enjoyed a good weekend of competition and really came together as a team!
