AWARDS, APPOINTMENTS & RECOGNITIONS

Dawn Neumann, PhD, received the Deborah L. Wilkerson early Career Award at the Annual Meeting of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Flora Hammond, MD and Lance Trexler, PhD were inducted as Fellows of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine at the annual meeting.

Flora Hammond, MD received that Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Baylor College of Medicine.

Flora Hammond, MD was named as one of the 2013 America’s Top Doctors and Indianapolis Monthly Top Doctors.

Yolinda Goldin, Keith Cicerone, Joshua Cantor, Flora Hammond, and Stephanie Kolakowsky-Hayner received the David Strauss Poster Award for their presentation “The miserable middle age: age and fatigue after TBI – NIDRR TBI Model System module study” at the Annual Meeting of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Barbra Zupan, Dawn Neumann, Duncan Babbage, and Barry Willer received the ACRM BI-ISIG Early Career Best Poster Award for their presentation “Inferring emotion in social stories by people with traumatic brain injury” at the Annual Meeting of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.

James Malec, PhD served on the dissertation review committee for Rema Andrea Lillie, “Psychosocial functioning of children living with a brain-injured parent”  at University of Victoria, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

James Malec, PhD was recognized at the Colts game on December 15 by Wilson, Kehoe, and Winningham as “12th Man Fan of the Game” for his contributions to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana and the Indianapolis community.
